Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

May the new year bring you much health and happiness. It is so hard for us to believe that 2008 is almost here. We have had a very good year because of you, so thanks from all of us at the Pirtle Winery!

Recipe of the Month: Miriam's Almond Cream Cheese Cake

This recipe was created by Miriam Hawkins, our winery manager and coordinator. I believe this will become one of your favorite cakes - it is so easy and delicious.

1 box Butter yellow cake mix
1 pkg. (8oz.) cream cheese (room temperature)
4 large eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. pure almond extract

Blend all of the above, and prepare your bundt pan with Pam or what you usually do to keep it from sticking. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
